Educational Goal

The objective of our department emphasizes on the integration of biotech research and practice in both the production and the management fields. Through teaching, experiment, and research project activities, students are trained in biochemistry, at both cellular and molecular levels. Students will understand various kinds of bio-phenomena and -theories, and able to apply them to various biotech industries. DBST’s education program emphasizes practical research, intellectual property, technology management, and biotech safety. These can be achieved by integrating and cooperating with departments in our school, such as the Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering, Department of Food Science, Department of Information Management, the Nanotechnology Center, research centers like Academia Sinica, and many industrial companies in the Nankang Biotechnology Park.
